Treatment Needs Assessment (TNA)

Assessments are the first step in determining if an individual needs further help with their addiction or alcoholism.  The process takes a couple of hours and includes filling out descriptive forms and time with an assessment counselor.

Treatment Needs Assessment (TNA): $125; $50 if state funded.
TNA with completed walk-in packet: $75; $25 if state funded.
TNA Update: $50, no state funding available.

DUI School

The Carroll DUI School is an education and prevention program. It is offered on Saturdays for 12 hours (two Saturdays, 6hrs each).  Educational topics that are covered in DUI School are Driving under the influence; Biological risks of Chemical abuse, and a variety of other Drugs. Assignments are coordinated with DUI focus and will be completed by completion of class.

Age group: 18 and up
Program Length: 12 hrs (2 sessions, 6 hours each)

Costs: $35 For Screening for B.A.L < .17; $85 for B.A.L>.17

Intensive Prevention Program

Intensive Prevention Program is an in depth prevention program.  IPP groups occur approximately once a quarter so call for next available schedule. The program offers 16 hours of alcohol and drug education which will include segments covering drinking and driving; biological risk of drugs and alcohol; phases of addiction; low risk choices and personal responsibility.

Diversion Program

The Diversion Program is an education and prevention program. It is an 12 hour group that is offered day or evenings.  This Program offers 12 hours of alcohol and drug education which will include segments covering drinking and driving; biological risks of drugs and alcohol; phases of addiction; legal risks and personal responsibility. .

Multiple Offender Program (MOP)

Carroll Institute Mulitple Offender Program (MOP) is an education and prevention program. It is scheduled on Mondays and Thursday with 24 hours of total class time required for completion.Educational topics that are covered in MOP school are examining impairment and consequences; the effects of drugs and alcohol on the body; drinking patterns, and strategies for positive change. Assignments are coordinated with a DUI focus and must be completed for class completion.

Jail Treatment

To begin jail treatment, clients are referred by Public Defenders or Attorneys. We require all clients to commit to no use of Alcohol or other mood altering chemicals. We have found those that follow this suggestion have the best chance of permanent recovery. Urinalysis , and other tests as needed, will be administered to insure all Carroll clients are actively keeping their commitment. Jail Treatment is a comprehensive Drug and alcohol program for adults who are incarcerated. “A New Direction” recovery curriculum is utilized with 9 hours of class time allotted weekly. Treatment occurs on Tuesday-Thursday with Men’s Group in the morning and Women’s Group in the afternoon. The duration of Jail treatment is 6 weeks. Criminal and Addictive thinking, Drug and Alcohol education and Release and Reintegration Preparation are workbooks completed during treatment. Clients will focus also upon feelings investigation, self-esteem, anger/grief issues, goal setting, relationship issues, support systems and relapse triggers are all topics covered during the course of this program.

Program Length: Minimum of 54 hours of group sessions and 1 individual session per week.

TB Tests All clients must provide current TB Test.
Schedule: 6 weeks, tu-thur 9am-12pm for men; 1pm-4pm for women
Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT)

Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) was one of the first comprehensive, systematic attempts to treat substance abusing offenders from a purely cognitive behavioral perspective. MRT is an objective, systematic treatment system designed to enhance ego, social, moral, and positive behavioral growth in a progressive, step by step design.  MRT has 12 steps that attempts to change how individuals make decisions and judgements by raising moral reasoning.

Age Group: 18 and over
Curriculum: Moral Reconation Therapy
Cost: $135 Total, $35 is needed up front for book and first class.

Adult Outpatient Treatment

Adult Outpatient Treatment is a comprehensive Drug and alcohol program for adults. Corrective thinking, feelings investigation, self-esteem, anger/grief issues, goal setting, relationship issues, support systems and relapse triggers are all topics covered during the course of this program.

Program Length: Minimum of 18 group sessions, 1 individual session per week, as well as required Family sessions.
Curriculum: Videos, Lectures and assignments
Cost: If state funded: Client pays $540-720 ($30/session). Ask Client Relations Coordinators about Payment Plans.

Meth Outpatient Treatment

Meth Outpatient Treatment is designed for those recovering from the devastating effects of methamphetamine use.  Clients will need to be detoxified before entering the program.  The treatment phase will consist of 16 weeks of structured programming that incorporates relapse prevention, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychoeducation, family approaches and 12 step programming.  Some clients may stay in residential care while attending this phase.  Upon completion of the treatment phase, clients will attend 6 to 9 months of aftercare.

Age Group: 18 and over
Program Length: 16 weeks of IOP, individual sessions and family education.
Curriculum: Curriculum is based off of the Matrix Model.
Cost: If state funded: Client pays $1440 ($30/session). Ask Client Relations Coordinator about payment plans.

Aftercare

Aftercare is the continuance of a solid beginning in the recovery program. The Carroll Institute recommends that all our clients attend aftercare meetings with the new learning, tools, and attitude introduced in treatment. Recovery for most will be a long term process and aftercare is a key component in establishing a new foundation where one can truly Turn over a new Life. Adult Aftercare is a one hour per week reconnection for clients beginning recovery from drugs and alcohol. The group discussion topics are a more in depth look at issues that can make or break early recovery. Relapse prevention, trust building, value of honesty, feelings and anger management, relationships and peer pressure are all topics covered during aftercare.

Program Length: One session per week for up to 12 months
Cost: If state funded $10/Session.

Primary Prevention Program

Primary prevention program is a program offered at various times to best fit school schedules.  The program offers 10 hours of alcohol and drug education which will include segments covering drinking and driving; biological risk of drugs and alcohol; phases of addiction; low risk choices and personal responsibility.
